Planting Churches in Toronto

We are strategically partnering to plant churches in the Greater Toronto Area. Toronto is the largest international city in North America and as one of the North American Mission Board's "Send Cities" is a prime location for partnering and planting for Kingdom Growth. We have made a three year commitment to partner (beginning in the fall of 2013) with Toronto Church Planting. We are currently partnering with Starting Point Church and Pastor Mike Hauser.
What does a strategic partnership entail? The "Three Ps"
  • Prayer - Intentional prayer for Mike, his wife Tanya and their children as well as the work of Starting Point. Praying for open doors to ministry, opportunities for service and the growth of the Kingdom through Starting Point. We will be doing "virtual prayer walks" in this area as well.
  • People - Mission teams and "3 Day Weekend Missionaries" will be sent regularly from FBCOP to Toronto to serve the church and planters there.
  • Provision - Simply put. . .it means "money" and "resources." We will provide generous gifts to support church planting efforts in the city and the GTA. Whether helping fund current planters or funding to send planters from FBCOP to Toronto for relocation and mission, we will provide.
We are Sending Neil & Kaytee Jimenez to Toronto as Church Planters
It's an incredible story. God has partnered us with Toronto Church Planting and we are strategically working with Mike Hauser and Starting Point Church. Now, we are sending a family from our church to serve on the TCP team as church planters as well. Neil and Kaytee Jimenez will be relocating to Toronto in 2014. Mike Hauser is the founder and pastor of Starting Point Church in Burlington, Ontario. After years of serving as a youth pastor in an existing, traditional church, Hauser followed God's call to plant a church in the Burlington area. Through lots of hard work and hundreds of door-to-door, community surveys, plus a very timely newspaper article, Starting Point launched in the winter of 2013 with more than 100 people. This is unique in the Toronto area. Meeting in a school at first, Starting Point now meets in a movie theater.

Mike is married to Tanya and they have one daughter and three sons.
